Holmdel Vietnam Era Museum honors veterans with patriotic ceremony

Veterans and their loved ones gathered at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial and Vietnam Era Museum in Holmdel for a Veterans Day ceremony.

Veterans and their loved ones gathered at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial and Vietnam Era Museum in Holmdel for a Veterans Day ceremony.
The museum held the event in partnership with the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.
The ceremony kicked off with welcoming remarks, the national anthem and was followed by a wreath processional and benediction.
Gov. Phil Murphy also made an appearance to speak about the importance of celebrating veterans.
"To all who have proudly dawned the uniforms of service, answered one of the highest callings as American citizens and protected the ideals and values of the nation of our free society, we say once again- thank you,” he said.
The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Foundation encourages the community to visit the Vietnam Era Museum. It is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
