Hope, cheer and comfy pajamas: LI woman’s PJs drive helps thousands of kids

A Long Island woman is helping other this Christmas because years ago – she needed help herself.
Patricia Poggie, of Centereach, was once 300 pounds – but got motivated to lose the weight, eventually shedding 130 pounds, and starting a new life. She has since become involved in body building competitions.
For the last 11 years, Poggie has been hosting a pajama drive to help others who could use some holiday cheer.
