Members of the LGBT community took to the streets Sunday for what is being called the largest Gay Pride Parade in New York City history.
Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton joined parade goers as the NYPD increased security for the event in the aftermath of the Orlando shootings.
A "We Are Orlando" solidarity group, as well as gun control and anti-violence groups also joined in on the march.
Mayor De Blasio was also at the event to express the mood of the day in the wake of the Orlando tragedy.
"I think it is an act of defiance on one level to come out and say we stand by our values: inclusion and love and tolerance," Mayor De Blasio said.
