There are often stories about breast cancer affecting women, but it can also severely affect men - which was the story of one Trumbull man.

Lisa Becker says her husband, Bill, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011 and didn't tell her until six months later.

"It's an everybody disease. We all have mammary glands," she says.

Lisa Becker says every year, over 2,600 men are diagnosed with breast cancer in the U.S. She also says 1 in 3 develop metastatic breast cancer, for which there is no cure.

Bill Becker, a software engineer, died on Sept. 17, 2014 at the age of 46, leaving behind a wife and six kids.

Lisa Becker took her husband to a Soundgarden concert before he died. Chris Cornell dedicated the concert to him.

She says she has lobbied in Washington, D.C. about metastatic breast cancer and can't stress how important early detection is.
