Trauma
doctors at Westchester Medical Center are reminding residents to check on their
older neighbors in the wake of Ivana Trump's death.
Westchester
Medical Center doctors say injuries caused by falls are the leading admission
at the hospital's Intensive Care Unit. Older adults are more prone to falls
that could result in serious injuries.
Dr.
Kartik Prabhakaran says more than half of their more than 2,000 trauma patients
in 2021 were “fall-related.” He says staying active is one of the most
important methods to prevent a fall.
A
funeral service will be held Wednesday at the Church of St. Vincent
Ferrer in the Upper East Side neighborhood where Ivana Trump lived.
