The library at Medgar Evers College reopened Monday after getting a major facelift.
The newly renovated Charles Evans Innis Memorial Library was designed to be a resource for students at the college, but it was also designed to help the community that surrounds the school.
The state-of-the-art facility has computers that can hold more than 1,000 e-books, online publications and audiovisual items.
There are also archives and areas set aside for students to study and exchange ideas.
There is a special collection inside the library as well, that characterizes the life and legacy of the school's namesake, Medgar Evers.
The renovation took two years and about $22 million.
