Babin’s friends say that while he was getting out of his car, an argument transpired between two sex workers on Georgia Avenue. One of those workers sped off in their car, and police confirm that car was the one that struck Babin and took his life.

"Early in the morning, that's all you see is naked people walking around and those people were fighting. That's what caused his death, it's so sad,” said Babin’s co-worker Emmanuel. “Something needs to change, and we need to start making noise and need to make sure that this does not happen to anybody else."

The members of the bus company where Babin worked came together and joined hands at the site where he lost his life. Babin was a driver for the bus company for 24 years.
