Another man has come forward to claim he was the victim of police brutality during a drug stop, only two weeks after Jateik Reed was allegedly assaulted by police.
In an exclusive interview with News 12 The Bronx, 23-year-old Correll Lloyd says he was assaulted by an officer of the 43rd Precinct after leaving his Soundview home last Wednesday.
Llloyd says two plainclothes officers told him to put his hands behind his back but says they did not identify themselves as police, so he kept walking.
That's when two uniformed officers stepped in and tried to arrest him, according to Lloyd.
He says that one of the plainclothes officers punched him in the face so he tried to run. The officer then pursued him, knocked him down and began kicking and punching him, according to Lloyd.
Lloyd admits that he had marijuana on him at the time, but says the assault was unnecessary.
Lloyd is due in court on the drug possession charges on March 13.
