A Bronx man was arraigned Friday for a triple shooting in Co-op City that left one man dead and two others injured.
Police say Paulino Valenzuela is a former employee in Co-op City. They say he entered the basement of an apartment building and fatally shot his former supervisor in the chest. He then shot two other men as he was fleeing the scene, police say.
Valenzuela turned himself in to Bronx Criminal Courthouse shortly after the shooting. He is charged with murder, manslaughter and assault.
Officials say Valenzuela recently lost a legal fight against the Co-op City management company. Employees claim that is what most likely triggered the shooting.
One of the victims remains in critical condition at Jacobi Medical Center.
