Police are investigating the discovery of a man's body off the Williamsburg shore. 
Authorities say the body was spotted washed up near Kent Avenue and Broadway at around 8 a.m. Thursday. 
According to investigators, the man was pronounced dead at the scene after being pulled from the East River. He's believed to be black, and between 30 and 40 years old. 
The medical examiner will determine the official cause of death.
