The borough is helping to kick off National Breastfeeding Awareness Month this August.
For a sixth year, dozens of people are marching more than two miles through Bed-Stuy and Crown Heights to raise awareness about breastfeeding.
Organizers say there is a low number of mothers in those neighborhoods who are breastfeeding, and they're hoping to change that because of its crucial health benefits for infants.
The walk also aims to educate local businesses that women have the legal right to breastfeed in public places, such as restaurants.
