Wilton's Minks to Sinks, a beloved semiannual tag sale, has wrapped up another successful year.
Last-minute shoppers at the corner of Route 7 and School Road Monday were able to “fill a bag” for a bargain $10. It ended at 11 a.m.
Hundreds of thousands of items are donated each year to benefit the Family & Children's Agency in Norwalk, which has raised $1.9 million since 1973.
"They help every age group from birth to seniors and everyone in between," said Kim Healy with Minks to Sinks. The tag sale has been a staple in the community since 1931. It takes 150 volunteers to make it possible.
"It's all for such a worthy cause that we come out and work really hard to make this happen," said Healy.
Some unsold items will be put in storage until the next Minks to Sinks in the spring.
