City Council members are introducing a new program to improve bad housing in Brooklyn. The "T-CEP" program is being created to fast-track fixes at buildings that are overflowing with violations. As part of the program, housing inspectors will go in to examine the buildings from top to bottom instead of by individual complaints. Those in favor of the program want to see funding for the program increase allowing it to help more Brooklyn tenants. New funding would also go towards hiring new inspectors and prosecuting delinquent landlords.
