The New York City Sheriff’s Office raided a smoke shop Tuesday at 686 Allerton Ave. – a location that has been raided at least twice before.
The News 12 camera was rolling when a man was walked out of the Allerton location in handcuffs.
Officials said he was one of four arrests, but the NYPD has not yet released their names.
Officers found cannabis, colorful packaging and equipment inside of the store.
City Sheriff Anthony Miranda said they also recovered a gun, as well as a gray-painted school bus that was hooked up with electricity coming from the store.
Miranda said the raid comes after multiple complaints from the community.
He told News 12 a lot of the cannabis packaging targets children, but it’s important to get this stuff off the streets regardless.
“This creates a hazard, not only for the kids that they’re selling these packages, but as well as the adult community because these are unregulated product,” said Miranda.
The sheriff credited Mayor Eric Adams for fighting for them to have the right to conduct the inspections.
News 12 is working to find out just how much product was recovered Tuesday afternoon.
