Residents living in a NYCHA complex in Bushwick say their cries to fix a leaky ceiling that spans multiple units have gone unheard. 

Sasha Robinson says she moved to Hope Gardens only a few months ago and ever since, there has been a leaky ceiling inside of her unit.

Robinson says she has filed multiple fix tickets with NYCHA and has even showed them video recorded on her cellphone of the damage, but the leak remains unfixed.

Her bed and other belongings have been replaced due to the leak, which also drips down into the unit below.

Robinson takes care of her sick mother who lives inside of the unit, and both women suffer from asthma. They believe the leak is making their condition worse.

NYCHA released a statement saying, "This is unacceptable and we must do better. Staff will address the leak today and follow up with all repairs necessary to complete the work urgently.”

The leak has caused two holes in Robinson's ceiling, and she says she hopes NYCHA repairs them both.

NYCHA says it will fix the issues and check units above Robinson’s to ensure the leak is not coming from there.
