An 87-year-old woman was fatally struck by the driver of a minivan Friday evening while crossing East 88th Street near Avenue L, police say.

According to the NYPD, a 2010 Honda Odyssey driven by a 39-year-old man struck the woman before crashing into a parked car. The incident was captured on a Ring surveillance camera and shared with News 12.

They say Esther Sealy was taken to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Police say the driver remained on scene and no arrests have been made.

Neighbors told News 12 that they aren't shocked this happened in their area.

"There's no regard…they just vroom past like nothing happened,” said Tiffany Griffith, who lives across the street from the crash scene.
