A grenade was found next to a toilet inside a building in Sunset Park, the NYPD says.

The discovery was made just after 7 a.m. at 867 53rd Street.

Police say the building was evacuated and its Emergency Service Unit established a perimeter. The Bomb Squad removed the grenade, placed it in a containment vehicle and took it to the NYPD facility on Rodman's Neck.

The building is back open. There were no injuries.

Police did not detail how the grenade made its way inside the building.
