NYPD: Man stabbed multiple times for telling suspect he did not have his wallet

According to the NYPD, the 55-year-old man was walking at the corner of Fulton Street and Van Siclen Avenue when a suspect approached him and asked for his wallet.

Police say a 55-year-old man was stabbed in an attempted robbery in East New York on April 5.
According to the NYPD, the 55-year-old man was walking at the corner of Fulton Street and Van Siclen Avenue when a suspect approached him and asked for his wallet. The 55-year-old man told him he did not have a wallet, then the suspect stabbed him multiple times and fled.
The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he is in stable condition.
The whereabouts of the suspect are currently unknown.
