Police say an officer is now under disciplinary action for wearing a "Trump 2020" patch during a protest in Downtown Brooklyn.
In a video, the officer can be seen wearing a patch that reads "Trump 2020, make enforcement great again," at a protest for racial justice outside the NYPD's 84th Precinct. The officer also had a patch with "The Punisher" emblem that featured Trump-like hair.
The person who took the video claims the officer also attempted to escalate the situation during the protest.
The NYPD says in statement, "We are aware of a video showing one of our members wearing a politically oriented patch. The officer has already received an initial discipline. A further investigation is ongoing."
