Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect who stabbed a 40-year-old woman in the back Wednesday in Prospect Heights.

Authorities say the incident occurred at around 1 p.m. on Atlantic and Fourth avenues.

The victim was hospitalized and is expected to recover.

Police say the suspect is a female in her 30s and was last seen wearing a white tank top with grey shorts.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
