Police say a mother and her child narrowly escaped being hit by an out-of-control car Tuesday outside a Gravesend subway station.
Witnesses say a man driving down McDonald Avenue tried to go around another car, but didn't have enough room and hit a pole underneath the F train. Robert Ezerr, who saw the crash, says a mother and her baby were in a nearby car, which the driver almost hit.
The mom and baby were not injured. Police say the driver of the car removed the license plates from his vehicle before fleeing the scene.
