The reported building collapse Thursday evening that was supposed to have injured one person on Myrtle Avenue turned out to be a hoax.
The rubble at 901 Myrtle Ave. was actually part of construction at the site, News 12 found.
There was a large police presence on hand after reports of a partial building collapse that injured one person and possibly trapped another.
Police say they are investigating what led them to the false alarm.
