A frisbee league in Prospect Park features dogs and owners teaming up and competing before work – yes, even in the winter.
"It sounds really simple,” says Navin Sivakumar, of Brooklyn Disc Dogs, “You need to teach your dog to catch frisbees, you need to teach your dog to bring frisbees back to you and then you need to teach your dog to give them to you."
Dogs and owners looking to join Brooklyn Disc Dogs can sign up for the spring league that starts in April.
"It's not just about the dog, you really need to throw well. So, the more you practice your throws, the better you're going to be,” says dog agility instructor Sarah Westscott.
