Sunny skies and warm temperatures are ahead this spring season, and the Pier 2 Roller Rink at Brooklyn Bridge Park is the perfect spot to spend this weekend. Skaters of all skill levels grabbed their skates and hit the rink to kick off the spring season on Friday. “This is the second time I’m roller skating, and I’m not really that good—I’m kinda nervous!” one young skater said. Another described the thrill of the experience: “It was fast! I could feel the wind on my face!” The rink is a popular spot for families, offering skate rentals and a lively atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy open skate sessions from 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Many skaters News 12 spoke to said they plan to return throughout the season.
