A man was found stabbed to death in Mott Haven.  

Police say they were called to 2774 Third Ave. just before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, after a man was stabbed in the torso following a dispute. The 46-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  

Officials say a weapon was recovered at the scene and a suspect was taken into custody. No charges have been filed at this time. 

Employees at a furniture store a few blocks away from the crime scene say that this kind of violence isn’t a surprise for this neighborhood.  

Officers at the scene were standing next to a truck with Connecticut license plates that was wrapped in police tape. They have not provided any information on the vehicle’s connection to the crime at this time.
