Police: 11-year-old struck by ice cream truck in Brooklyn, in critical condition

An 11-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was struck by an ice cream truck in Brooklyn.

An 11-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was struck by an ice cream truck in Brooklyn.
The accident happened at the intersection of Sutter Avenue and Hendrix Street Friday night.
When police arrived, the boy was found with head and body trauma. Officials took him to Brookdale Hospital. 
The NYPD says 58-year-old Juan Remigio was driving southbound on Hendrix Street onto the intersection of Sutter Avenue when he hit the boy while he was riding his bike. The boy was knocked to the ground and dragged for a short distance.
The driver stayed at the scene and was taken into custody. He is being charged with driving without a license and failing to yield to a pedestrian.
