18-year-old man was killed late Monday in East New York, police say.
The incident happened on Linwood Street and Hegeman Avenue at around 11:30 p.m.
near a day care center and playground, police say.
Police say they responded to a 911 call and found the victim with a gunshot
wound to the chest.
He was rushed to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
News 12 is told the victim is Shaheem Bascom, of Bed-Stuy.
Police have closed down Hegeman Avenue as investigators continue to search for
evidence.
No
arrests have been made.
