Police say nine people were shot and injured when gunfire erupted at a house party in East New York early Sunday morning.
Officials say a fight broke out at around 2 a.m. in the backyard of 1140 Stanley Ave. shortly before the shots were fired.
The nine victims, both men and women, range in age from 19 to 38 years old. They were all taken to local hospitals.
Reports say one of the victims is in critical condition and the rest are suffering from minor injuries.
Authorities also say four additional people at the party were taken to hospitals for cuts and bruises.
Investigators have not released descriptions of the suspect or suspects at this time. There is no word on a possible motive.
