Police are investigating the death of an East New York woman who was allegedly killed after being struck in the head.
Police say 45-year-old Nazellon Coward died Wednesday, two weeks after being released from jail. Authorities say they responded to a 525 Glenmore Ave. after receiving reports of an unconscious woman.
Coward was then rushed to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center with head trauma and later died.
Residents of Glenmore Avenue say the building where Coward was found has a history of squatters and drug activity. Police say no arrests have been made and that the investigation is ongoing.
