A 16-year-old Brooklyn boy is recovering after police say five men walked up to him on the southbound L train from Broadway junction on Friday, and punched and kicked him in the face and body.
Police are looking for two suspects. Earlier this week, another fight broke out at a downtown Brooklyn McDonald's, leading to two arrests so far.
Community advocate Tony Herbert believes that these types of incidents are becoming far too common.
"The leaders of the group of knuckleheads, we want to send the message and be very clear: you will go to jail. You commit adult crimes, you will go to jail," he said.
Community members say that they want the team to understand that there are severe consequences to this violent type of behavior and want these attacks to stop.
