Police are searching for a man who allegedly hit a hotel employee with a hammer in Brownsville.

The incident happened in the lobby of a Quality Inn.

Video shows a man yelling at the victim and other employees.

He then spits in the worker’s face three times before picking up a hammer and striking him over the head with it.

The suspect allegedly made comments about the turban the victim was wearing before the attack.

Neighbors believe the attack was targeted and want officials to investigate it as a possible hate crime.

The victim suffered minor injuries and believes his turban helped protect him from getting severely injured.
