Police: Motorcyclist killed by driver under the influence in Kensington
Police say a motorcyclist was killed Monday morning by a driver who was under the influence.
Evvon Alexander, 28, was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Ocean Parkway and was fatally struck while attempting to make a left turn onto Beverly Road, police say. The incident took place just before 4 a.m.
Officials say Alexander was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Four other individuals were transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Police say Jasmin Morales-Cruz, 23, was behind the wheel of the Infiniti that struck Alexander. She is facing charges of DWI, vehicular manslaughter and unlicensed operator
