Police say an armed duo is behind a car heist on July 26 outside of a hotel on Sheridan Boulevard in Crotona Park East.
Investigators say the robbery happened after an unidentified man and woman entered the car of a 49-year-old man at around 3:40 a.m. in front of 1440 Sheridan Blvd.
They say the man pulled out a gun and forced the victim out of the car while the woman drove the stolen vehicle away.
The incident comes on the heels of the NYPD's latest report on crime that states robberies are down this year in the Bronx by 18.1%.
Neighbors tell News 12 they are noticing the downward trend in crime.
"I've been leaving this in this area around 30 years. Before it was a really bad neighborhood, but now I have no complaint about it," said one neighbor, Isaac.
Police say the victim was not injured, and the car was later recovered.
