Police are searching for a suspect in Saturday's fatal hit-and-run incident on Soundview Avenue.
Investigators say 42-year-old Dawn Affomani, a school teacher and a mother of two, was struck and killed as she walked home from grocery shopping.
Police say they are looking for a tan-colored Mazda in connection with the incident.
The principal at the school where Affomani worked says that grief counselors are being made available to help students cope with the loss.
