Kids in Prospect Park are staying active this summer by improving their serve, stroke and confidence on the court at the Tennis Summer Youth Program.
The program is ran by the Prospect Park Alliance and is held at the Tennis Center, a 15-year-old clubhouse that has grown tremendously over the years as the alliance began offering more programming and lessons for kids in the area.
The tennis program is designed for children between the ages of 6 and 16 years old and engages participants in drills and match play for both individualized learning and group work.
Children with disabilities are also accommodated with a program called Special Aces.
News 12 Brooklyn is told that there is still space for those interested in signing up. Parents have the option to sign their children up for both half- and full-days, with prices ranging between $400 and $500 per week.
A limited number of income-based scholarships are available.
