Beloved actor and former FDNY firefighter Steve Buscemi is one of the latest victims of random violence in New York City, according to his publicist.

Police say the assault happened last Wednesday in front of 369 Third Ave. in Kips Bay.  They say the victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition with bleeding, bruising and swelling to his left eye.  Just recently, Buscemi’s Boardwalk Empire co-star, Michael Stuhlbarg, was reportedly attacked with a rock in Central Park.

Sources close to Buscemi tell News 12 New York that the actor is “fine” and is recovering in private.
