Recent robberies in a Bronx building have many tenants on edge and demanding better security.
Tenants living in the co-ops at 1235 Grand Concourse say they don?t feel safe in their own building. They say four people were recently attacked and that most of the attacks occurred in the front lobby.
According to tenants, their building has been without security for approximately four months. They say there are security cameras, but those aren?t enough to keep them safe.
The co-op board says it is listening to tenants? concerns. Meanwhile, some tenants say they are reaching out to a company to pay for their own security.
Anyone with information on the recent robberies should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
