A public mural is expected to be torn down as a neighboring store expands, according to a report by DNAinfo.
The mural is titled "A Love Letter to Brooklyn" and it covers a Downtown Brooklyn parking garage. It's expected to be torn down along with the garage for a multi-use development project.
The building was an eyesore when artist Steve Powers came upon it in 2011, reports say.
The mural shows words of endearment for the borough as well as pictures of Brooklyn residents.
News 12 spoke with neighbors who say they will be sorry to see the mural destroyed.
