It's an uphill battle for some Bronx residents fighting to get an empty lot near their home cleaned up. The Baychester residents say the city-owned property right next door to their homes has attracted illegal activity and dumping. In early February, police found a man dead in an abandoned SUV at the site located at Wickham and Givan avenues. Neighbors say simple solutions like sidewalks and better enforcement of the ?no dumping? sign would be a good start in making the area safer. Calls to the Department of Sanitation regarding clean up of the lot have not been returned.
