Saturday marks 40 years since former President Richard Nixon resigned from the White House.
A number of Brooklyn residents say they vividly recall the historic moment, as Nixon was the only president to resign in the country's history.
Some say they believe Nixon was one of the most disliked presidents of all time, while others defend his actions prior to resigning, saying he did some good while in office.
Nixon resigned after a break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters, at the Watergate office complex in Washington, D.C. Scandal ensued when Nixon's administration tried to cover up his involvement.
