The Hunts Point Avenue 6 train station was shut down for several hours this morning after a confrontation between two groups of people left one person shot.
Police say a group of eight men approached two individuals and demanded their jackets, when one of the two men refused, he was struck on the head with a gun.
Afterward, someone in the group of eight men discharged his gun, striking a member of his own group in the foot.
Officials say so far no arrests have been made and are looking for the shooter in the incident.
