A Brooklyn clothing store foot the bill for children as they shopped for holiday gifts for their loved ones.
Thirty-six students from the East New York Family Academy filed in, one by one, to Uniqlo at the Atlantic Terminal Mall. The store gave every student 10 tokens, worth $10 each, and a volunteer shopping buddy to ensure they don't go over the allotted amount.
The store's Make a Warm Gesture campaign was started last year, but this is the first time it was held in Brooklyn.
The event was funded through donation boxes located at checkout. Uniqlo then matched the amount raised by customers.
