Department of Transportation
crews are checking and clearing drain gates in an attempt to prevent clogging
and flooding.
Meanwhile, PSEG Long Island
says its performing system checks in preparation for potential outages.
Power center: Electric outage resources
The remnants of Nicole will
bring heavy rain and gusty winds to the area beginning later this afternoon
into Saturday morning.
