A slow moving storm system will bring nonstop rain, wind and chilly temps to our area Tuesday into Thursday. It won't be consistently heavy rain, but it will be steady showers with an occasional downpour.
It will be windy. Gusts could reach up to 30 mph with wind chills stuck in the 30s. Up to 2 inches of rainfall expected through Thursday. Messy road conditions are expected. Reduced visibility, large puddles, ponding, and localized flooding in low lying and poor drainage areas.
TONIGHT: Clear and breezy. Lows down to 42.
TOMORROW - STORM WATCH: Showers arrive just before noon, with moderate to heavy pockets of rain through the afternoon & evening. Some ponding likely, but not flooding. Highs stuck near 47. Lows down to 40 with a few scattered showers.
WEDNESDAY - STORM WATCH: On-and-off showers during the morning, with heavy downpours likely during the afternoon. This could lead to scattered minor flooding. Highs only near 44. Lows down to 39 with more on-and-off showers at night.
THURSDAY: A few leftover showers, mainly during the morning. Otherwise, cloudy and dreary. Highs near 46. Lows down to 37. FRIDAY - YANKEES' OPENING DAY: An improving forecast. A cloudy and possibly drizzly start, giving way to some sun by the afternoon. Highs near 50. Lows around 40.
NEXT WEEKEND: Lots of sun and warmer. Closing in on 60 Saturday, into the 60s Sunday. 70s likely as soon as Monday or Tuesday!
