HEADLINES:
Frigid weather continues with northwest winds gusting 20 to 40 mph overnight into Wednesday. By Wednesday morning, wind chills will be in the single digits, with temperatures struggling to reach freezing during the afternoon. It will be another dry, sunny day.
Thursday will be quite cold as well. Highs near 32 degrees, with gusty winds diminishing late in the day.
My pick of the week is Friday, with more sunshine and temperatures rebounding into the upper-30s, which is seasonable for this time of the year.
We are watching the potential for a winter storm on Saturday. The latest forecast track for the storm is a little bit farther to our south. This would mean light snow showers for Long Island, with the chance for minor accumulations. If the storm tracks farther north, we could see more in the way of snow. We'll continue to bring you the latest updates, with more forecast details by Wednesday.
