News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Krystall Ellis says Long Island will see sunny conditions and warm temperatures, which will continue into Memorial Day.
WHAT'S NEW: Sunday will be gorgeous and warm with a few more clouds around. High temperatures continue to rise with dry weather prevailing through the rest of the holiday weekend.
WHAT'S NEXT: Dry weather dominates much of the extended forecast with temperatures surging into the mid- to upper-80s, maybe even the low 90s to start the month of June.
FORECAST: 
OVERNIGHT: Clear and cool. Lows in the 50s for most of the island, 40s toward the Hamptons. 
SUNDAY: More sun than clouds. Warm. Highs in the mid-70s and near 80 in a few spots.
SUN NIGHT: A few clouds. Seasonably cool with lows in the 50s.
MONDAY - MEMORIAL DAY: Clouds increase and so do the temperatures. Highs in the upper-70s, near 80 in spots. Overnight lows in the 50s.
TUESDAY: More sunshine possible but a touch cooler. Highs near 70. Overnight lows in the 50s.
WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy. Highs in the mid-70s. Lows in the mid-50s.
THURSDAY: First day of summer. Much warmer. Highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s.
FRIDAY: A stray shower with times of sunshine. Warm. Highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s.
