Plans for a 12-story building in a residential Brooklyn neighborhood have been downsized.Councilwoman Sara Gonzalez announced that developers and community leaders reached an agreement to cut the building?s size by half. Many Sunset Park residents say the building, as originally planned, would have altered the character of the community and blocked views of a neighboring church. Residents applauded the developers? decision to sign a written agreement to change the plans. Community leaders planned to hold a protest Sunday, but it turned into a celebration.
