Cinco de Mayo celebrations may have ended Friday, but on one block along Fifth Avenue, the holiday is now a permanent fixture.

A festival was held Sunday to officially rename Fifth Avenue between 42nd and 43rd streets Cinco de Mayo Place.

Sunset Park has a growing Mexican immigrant population.

Organizers say that it was all about bringing the community together, but some Sunset Park residents who are not part of the Mexican immigrant community told News 12 they feel excluded.
