Two commuters were slashed on the C train Tuesday.
Officials say the incident occurred near the Ralph and Fulton C stop in Bed-Stuy.
Matthew Ruff, one of the victims, says he was on his way to work, when a man pulled out a box knife and attacked another commuter beside him, before coming toward him. Ruff says he attempted to jump into the next subway car, but his leg got stuck in the door. He then says the attacker straddled him and cut him on the forehead.
Officials say Ruff and the other victim were rushed to a hospital.
Police say they arrested 29-year-old Stanley Gary for the attacks.
Ruff tells News 12 that he moved to New York City from Florida about three months ago to pursue a degree in musical theater.
He says although he has been traumatized by the attack, he firmly believes that he belongs in the city. He also says he prays for his attacker.
