A Williamsbridge meat market was robbed at gunpoint after it opened for the day.
A person initially came into the store and ordered sausage and grabbed an Arizona Iced Tea from the fridge. The employee behind the counter said he didn't have enough money to cover the bill, so he left to get cash. Instead of returning with the money to pay for his items, the customer flashed a gun at the employee. The employee, Bilgael Ayance, says the customer demanded him to empty the register or he would kill him. "I'm scared he caught me off guard, and I don't feel so secure because I am basically by myself at the store working the situation gave me fear, it's a weapon and I am alone, imagine? I have to protect myself," said Ayance. Ayance says he gave the customer the $250 cash that was in the register and then called police. Police say the alleged robber was last seen wearing a blue coat, grey sweatshirt and sweatpants. He took off toward Arthur Avenue with the cash and left the sausage and Iced Tea behind.
